HOW TO JOIN THE ASSOCIATION

On this page you will find links to the forms allowing you to apply for membership and paying membership subscriptions.

FULL MEMBERSHIP

All Chaplains serving in the Regular Army are expected to join the Association on commissioning and remain members during their service. The Days Pay Scheme is the annual subscription payable to the Association, for the purpose of Benevolence, by such Chaplains.

All Retired Officer Chaplains are expected to be members, and pay the current subscription.

Reserve and ACF Chaplains are encouraged to join the Association and remain members throughout their commissioned service and pay the current subscription.

All members of the RAChD are encouraged to continue their membership of the Association after they retire or resign their commission and pay the current subscription.

The spouses of serving and retired chaplains are encouraged and most welcome to join the Association at the current subscription of £15 per year.

MEMBERSHIP FOR SPOUSES

The spouses of serving chaplains and widowed spouses of former members of the Association may become  Members and pay the current subscription.

HONORARY MEMBERSHIP

Honorary Membership may be conferred on a distinguished Minister or Priest, who has not served as a Chaplain in the RAChD or on a Chaplain serving with the Chaplains’ Department or Service of a Commonwealth or Allied Army; with the approval of the members of the Association at the Annual General Meeting, if so recommended by the Committee. It may also be conferred, with the approval of the Members of the Association, at their Annual General Meeting if so recommended by the Committee, on any person who is or has been connected with the professional work of the Department.
